EMS Win Virgin Festival Forum Challenge!

EMS young guns won the Virgin Festival Forum Challenge in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Team Manager Jeff(Alex Ferguson)Chef picked the team along with Bas EatMyStacks star player and the youngest member there. The criteria used to pick the team was mainly based on the players ability to walk and talk coherently as large amounts of falling down water had been consumed by quite a few of the EMS crew.

Bas, Blackshuck, ChrisyB, Wolvolad, Realscot, Addick, Franky and Dr Owl.

The event was played by 6 forums AWOP, Poker Lounge, Blondepoker, EatMyStack, LPPL, and LIPS.
Each team consisted of 8 players, which were split between 5 tables in a Sit and Go tournament no more than 2 team mates per table. First out got 1 point 2nd 2points etc etc.

First EMSer out Wolvolad on a very rowdy table which also had Dr Owl on it along with AWOP player and Nutz TV reporter Phil the Tower. This was the last table to finish the competition and Dr Owl played magnificently for 3rd to cement the EMS win.

Franky and RealScot were teamed up on another table and were doing well still both in with 6 left and the blinds getting big. I think RS was the button and Franky was the S/Blind when its folded round and RS pushes all in Franky calls and is all in as does the BB who also calls and is all in. On their backs RS shows 92 o/s , Franky shows AQ o/s and the BB has A9. The flop is 27J turn 3 river 4 so RS knocks out 2 players and has a huge chip lead that he uses well to win the table muffing everyone in sight well played RealScot.

Addick is all on his own playing well when he finds a pair of Kings gets a couple of all ins which look very good until the river when the Ace hits giving one of the other all ins top pair knocking 2 players out, fortunately Addick was the last player to act and was classified 5th.

ChrisyB was also on his own and was the chip leader on his table when it went heads up against the lady from LPPL who had cashed in the previous GUPT event well played madam. She played Chris very well and looked the winner until Chris fought back bravely it was very close nip and tuck stuff all the way the win eventually going to the Lady as Chris is such a gentleman well played both.

Finally the Brothers Grim Jon and Chris Spinks both on the same table, god help the rest a great game ended up with the pair heads up and the win going to Jon aka Bas.
