Our very own Kara Scott has made day 4 of the WSOP main event. Kara has just below an average stack with just over 170K chips but is well placed to go much deeper. Kara made a quick post on EMS just before the start of day 4.

Okay, now I’m having a wee cry.

Maybe it’s partly the tiredness (I cannot remember being this fatigued before) or the emotion of it all but I just had to go and wipe away some tears Thank you all so much for the support. It really does mean so much! Who would have thought this would happen a couple of years ago, eh??? I’m so chuffed to have such a quality community of people behind me and really proud to be part of EMS.

I was really dissappointed yesterday to drop down from 370k in the last level but let tiredness get the best of me and made a mistake by making a bet where I was committed to call because of odds from the pot, if the guy shoved on me. (again, 2 years ago I would have been looking at someone blankly if they just tried to tell me that!) Then I ran into hand after hand and finally finished 200k down. Still, there’s dancing room in them there chips and I hope to find the right tune today!!

Nick has been (no surprise) the most amazing support. I actually fear for his health - this is far more tense for him than it is for me! I’ve been able to lock myself into the game for 3, 12-15 hour days of solid play and not really think about the enormity of the whole thing. But for him, each move I make and each chip I bet is very real. The man taught me how to play and he taught me well though. I’m just glad to make him proud

Apologies for all the spelilng msitakes and any incoherance - I’m utterly exhausted and terribly excited all at the same time…..

I hope I give you something to cheer on today. Play starts at 1pm here….. 2 hours to go. Why can’t I sleep??!

Come on Kara!

Kara finished 104th midway through day 5 for a cash of just under $50K. Well done Kara!
