We overslept after the WSOP exertions and missed breakfast as a result.

No worries, we got something to eat in the Flamingo then the Baglady went off to get her feet beautified while I played the PPP Saturday night games from the hotel room using her laptop pc.

Made the money, 16 dollarz, woo hoo! First win of the holiday!!

Feeling confident I went downstairs in to register for the 6pm Flamingo donkfest ($65 buy-in) and to have some cheap beers with the Bag and her toenails in the beer tent next door. Very pleasant drinking spot this, you can just watch the people go by between Flamingo and Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall:

Suitably relaxed I headed back to the Flamingo poker room for the game.

My memory of the game is a little vague – maybe it’s the beer – but I played with confidence and lots of good cards to make the final table. With 7 left we agreed to split most of the prize money between us for $200 each and just play for the remaining $250. I went on to get to heads-up where we ended splitting the top 2 places for $325 with another British tourist.

Woo hoo! Second win of the holiday!!

On a roll now, I headed over to O’Shea’s for the $45 donkament at 8:30. By now the beer was still going down nicely but the card rush was unfortunately over. I ended up racing and going out with JJ vs KQ well short of the cash positions.

I considered the 11:30, $30 game at Bill’s but decided the beer was winning and packed it in instead. Back to the room to catch the footie highlights.

Meanwhile, while I had been playing, the Baglady had spent the day over at the Gold Coast, playing Pai Gow Poker. She finally rolled back in at 1:30 am having got the last free bus back.

Meanwhile Khayless had gone on to cash nearly $3000 in the Seniors. Nice one Alex, well played sir! I’m not really jealous, well not much.
