Jagz wins weekly TLB on Stars AND beats Elky HU!
EMS member Jagz, who plays as "Jagz7" on Pokerstars, has topped their weekly Tournament Leader Board (or TLB) beating many of the world's best online MTT players to the top spot. With some fantastic cashes along the way, Jagz set himself up for a very special Heads-Up game with Elky on Sunday 10th February, where $2,000 went to the winner. EMSers turned up to rail Jagz in this game and their faith was well placed, as he demolished the established pro and recent winner of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to take home the money and the bragging rights. Well done Jagz, a fantastic achievement and everyone at EMS is immenseley proud of you!

Season 4 of the EMS Freezeout League is now underway. The league will run every Sunday for a total of 20 weeks and is played at Virgin Poker, with cards in the air every Sunday at 8pm UK time. Players only use their best 10 results from the 20 weeks, so it doesn't matter if you miss a week or two, or if you've missed the first few weeks. First prize for the league - in addition to the prize money on offer each week - is a return flight to Vegas and players finishing the league in 2nd to 11th positions will be entered into a SnG playoff where another return flight to Vegas will be given away to the winner. This is a great chance to test your MTT skills against many accomplished online poker players and we guarantee you a warm welcome if you are playing our Freezeout League for the first time, so why not join up today and play this week?

Bas is the Real Deal!
At only 18 years of age, Bas (real name Jon Spinks) became the first EMS player to final table in a major online event when he claimed 3rd place in the opening event of the 2007 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) on Pokerstars. To many this came as no surprise as he has shown immense promise during the short time he has been playing online. His 3rd place prizemoney (after a deal was agreed) was $84,000 of which $50,000 was paid out to EMS members who staked him to play the event. This is sure to be the first of many big wins for the Devon poker ace who has already won more than $100,000 from online MTTs. Jon also offers poker coaching/lessons at very reasonable rates, so if you're interested in learning from one of the best up and coming young UK players, just contact him or any EMS admin on the forum.
