Reply from Pokertime to query:

"Thank you for contacting the Support Desk.

I have reviewed this matter for you qith regards to your query and I can confirm that on this hand your best hand was Ace high and that is the active card on reflecting as the lit up card on your bottom right hand corner.

The remaining 4 cards that are not lit up are inconsequential as they do not form a hand. I can understand why you would say that your best had should be AJT87 but this would not matter to the software as it does not recognize the remaining cards if they do not compose your best hand.

For example if the cards did reflect as you have stated AJT87, you would still have a Ave high hand as you best hand. The software does not take into consideration that you nearly had a flush as you did not get the flush. It simply registers you best hand and disregards the rest." (my emphasis)

With respect, the remaining cards are not inconsequential at all; if we both have ace high then the next card counts, if we both have AJ high then the next card counts, etc.

On Friday September 24th at 8.15 pm Gala Leeds will be holding a tournament with a difference

This will be our Guys & Dolls Charity Tournament, to raise money for Sue Ryder Care.

This will be a couples poker tournament ( one man, one woman, no same sex couples please. You don't need to be a couple in the romantic sense, just one team member male, one female)

The way it will work will be that one person will play for one level and then they will swop over and the other team member plays for the next.

The game will be a £40 freezeout with a £10 registration fee which will be donated to charity

In addition to the money raised in entries, the casino will be putting £500 into the prize money.

Plus there are £1000 worth of jewellery vouchers to be won. The vouchers are for Goldsmith's jewellers and have been very kindly donated by Caroline and Graham Manson.

The stack will be 10,000 points.

The clock will be 25 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE, OUR NORMAL FRIDAY TOURNAMENT IS NOT CANCELLED. THE CHARITY EVENT WILL RUN AT THE SAME TIME IN THE OTHER ROOM.

I hope you will be able to join us for this event. It should be a fun night and a great way to raise money for a worthwhile cause

Hes a massive station though. He called me down with AQ as PF 3bettor on 3887 J vs my QJ after flop went c/c i bet turn and overbet river when i got there.

Onto the hand in question, i c/r flop because its adecent board to do so and hes c/betting too much and i cant call profitably since he barrels so light. Turn is reasonable card to continue but is river a jam? or a c/f? c/c doesnt seem so good.
*** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Team Anomie [Kd 5s]

Just want to see what people think of this hand & if it was a good play, bad play, or somewhere in the middle.

As context: - We've been playing fourhanded for at least 20+hands with little real movement standings-wise. The BB however lost a coinflip the previous hand to the SB, making him the shortstack.
- The bigstack has shown little to no interest in pressuring the table & in turn vacuuming up the chips, instead content to just sit on his arse.
- The SB was pretty much uber tight, getting below 600 chips at one point, refusing to open raise with 'a hand' & was just blinding away until his coinflip double up
- I've been pretty much card dead the whole game but having been trying to steal blinds at pretty much every opportunity & especially pressuring the SB before his double up. The BB staying healthy by occasionally 3betting me. Basically, I've been doing the work

Back to this hand, I obviously lose, or I wouldn't be posting it, but I open shoved the button after the bigstack folded. My reasoning being that I can't let the BB have a walk to get free blinds cos I'm certain that SB isn't gonna pressure him. Seeing as a raise is about half my stack & I'd be pot commited anyway to any reraise, I figured the shove was better play (I normally raise for 2.5 big blinds).

A lot of info I know, but just want to know if my thinking is good, even if the result wasn't. (Big blind called with J5 offsuit & I busted 3 hands later, if you're interested)

Villain is a nit playing 16/13 over a large sample, raise cbet 7%

I don't think he's the type to get out of line, so I think he has overpairs and sets a lot of the time and maybe a few strong draws.

My worry is that if he does have sets or overpairs, if we just call and hit, its going to be difficult to get the money in, whereas if we raise/get it in, we're likely to be a dog to most of his range.

Obviously folding isn't an option, so I'm just wondering what the best line is against this type of villain with this type of hand.
Crumble: Hi, I have a question about my account
Crumble: I haven't played much on the site lately, but when I logged in today to play some BG I saw that there were no funds in there. Last time I checked there was over $120 in my account, mostly bonus dollars. What happened?
ga_adam: Hello Crumble
ga_adam: Let me check it for you
ga_adam: Give me a moment
ga_adam: Thank you
ga_adam: When did you check your account to see that there was $120?
Crumble: Probably 6 months ago :-o
Crumble: I haven't played for a while but I do keep records of wins / loses
ga_adam: Yes your account was tagged as lapsed account on 18th June,2010
ga_adam: And you logged in back on 23rd August,2010
Crumble: Yes, I went back in to change my address, having moved
ga_adam: There has been an inactivity fine of $124
Crumble: blimey
Crumble: I couldn't see anything about inactivity in the ts & cs
ga_adam: Well if you fail to use your account for a single continuous period of 90days or more
ga_adam: Your account will be deemed as dormant.
ga_adam: Crumble can you please give me some time
ga_adam: I will consult my team and get back to you regarding it
Crumble: Thanks
ga_adam: You are so very welcome
