Default Transition from MTT to Cash Player (My 1 Year Cash Blog)

Since the beginning of June 2009 I have been learning to play this very different type of game and it started off quite rocky but I think I have now found my feet.

My aim is to reach and crush $100NL or possibly $200NL by the end of May 2010.

Please could you help me as I'm still new and have only played around 11200 hands in total at $50NL. There will be leaks in my game and understandably it's a very small sample but any tips would be much appreciated.

I currently use training sites as well as this forum to post my HHs, and have also arranged for some coaching sessions in the near future.

Here are screenshots from my cash journey so far.

Thanks in advance.
Likey

Your stats are all about the same as mine , if that is a good or bad thing I don't know lol .

It looks like you've made solid progress and the graph over the last fortnight is sexy . Keep doing what your doing and take time to evaluate your game and learn more , thats what I am doing .

I'll see you in the training sessions and gl !

I found switching from mtt's to 6max very hard indeed. I don't think I, or my bank balance would have survived had I jumped in at $50nl.

The sample is terrible small and probably means very little but good luck.

I'll be interested to see how you progress, as you're clearly very ambitious and have set some tough goals.

I'm not in a position to give advice, but I am a couple of months ahead of you on the same path. Stats look pretty reasonable to me (but what would I know), I'm sure that you'll find a style that works well, especially with a bit of guidance from someone who does know what they're talking about.

Play some more hands, improve, build bankroll, move up, and repeat. Easy .

Good luck.

I have had a very good month for cash but only played 2571 hands, most of it was table selecting well but felt my hand reading skills have improved even though I haven't watched any videos on this topic thus far.

I must have ran hot as I managed to peak over 8.5 buyins ($429.40) but feeling gutted that I ran bad the last couple of sessions dropping like 2 buyins - ended with $328.70 profit for the month. I am feeling a bit down that I lost a bit towards the end as I was very close to reaching 10 buyins for the month, decided to quit whilst I'm ahead and just post my stats.

Although I am pleased with my progress, I feel there's still tons to learn and a lot more volume needs to be put in. For now, I will leave cash alone for the rest of today but will watch training videos as I've neglected those for weeks!

** Please note that I filtered my stats properly, it is now reflecting ALL 6max hands, in the stats in my original post I had included Full Ring too.

Comments welcome.

I took a quick glance at the stats and couldn't see anything that stood out as needing attention. One thing I'll mention is don't have set VPIP/PFR for each position... for example if you're BTN and there are two fish in the blinds, then you want to open a lot more than if there are two tough opponents there. This is something that won't show in the stats so I just thought I'd mention it.
