I haven't replied coz I haven't got a clue.
.My standard idea when I don't have a clue is to check / raise. But there's too much money here to do that. I suppose ( he said unconvincingly ) that you're still in front of more of villains range than not. And he could easily be playing like this with an overpair. So I suppose I go bust. Stick it all in ? |

i can't see him having anything other than 77,TT or JJ
well maybe T9 or connecting diamonds. stinks of a set imho I'd reraise all-in on the flop as played it's push or fold on the turn i probably fold as for the river i have no decision i'm either looking at my next hand or have no chips in front of me. but if i did misclick and call the turn i'm check calling the river blind |

Small number of hands on him but the 2% of his calling range is usually small pp's or suited connecters.
Because of his af he might be just cold calling preflop with Ts or Js but probably reraises the flop to find out where he is, his small turn bet can look like the type of bet that thinks is infront but dosnt want to commit too much to find out whilst also being a milking bet from someone who know's their infront. With his af i doubt he bets out with a draw with only one card to come and his bet size suggests he probably has a set on this board, due to the narrow gap in his preflop stats. With his low af he'll probably check behind hands like Ts on the turn so i'm more inclined to suggest that your up against either a set or JJ. Depending on which you feel villian is more likely to have due to the table dynamiques at the time, i feel check calling the turn to check fold to a big river bet isnt too bad due to his af, he's reraising QQ+ preflop and maybe Js but isnt making a huge river bet with a hand that you beat very often to make calling a big river profitable imo. Check calling $25 on the turn to check fold a big river does seem weak but there are hands that villian makes this bet with on the turn that he dosnt on the river. Maybe it's a leak, i dunno. |

Ok so he flat calls your PFR, to me this usually means he's got a small-mid pair, maybe even QQ-KK but wants to disguise it in hope of getting more out of you and having position. The only other hand would be suited connectors.
So the board flops 2 draws and you raise and he re-raises, now with a draw he maybe just smooth calls here, but if hes aggressive he re-raises you as he thinks you just have over cards or may think you are drawing AKd/AQd or something. The set is also still possible here and very likely, but I dont think he re-raises with a set??? Now that the turn is a 9, this changes my view the way he bets out, he either knows his set is now good against all drawing cards or hes still drawing himself but knows you cant call a big bet with your over cards/flush draw with 1 card to come? He could have also originally called with a hadn like 89s or 910s??? So I think your either miles behind or miles ahead. So if we flat call the turn I think the only option is to check call and it stinks tbh. Maybe this is weak but based on my view of the 9 coming (worst card ever I could expect here) and thinking he has a set and knows his hand is good against any draws, I am folding to that turn bet. ![]() |
